June 06, 2008 - Earthbound Media Group (EMG) is proud to announce the latest win for its award-winning ULV Virtual tour with a Bronze Telly Award. Capturing a bronze statuette in the recruitment category, the ULV virtual tour (www.ulv.edu/virtualtour) was recognized by the 28th Telly Awards competition for its innovative approach to engaging potential college students through a technology- and video-driven interactive experience.
“The ULV virtual tour is truly a one-of-kind masterpiece,” said Lawrence Williford, EMG Partner and Lead Art Director. “A year after its launch, this project continues to receive accolades and praise which is fantastic. The virtual tour has become a true indicator of how creative and ground-breaking EMG is.”
With over 14,000 national and international entries submitted each year, the Telly Awards recognizes top-tier media that incorporate film and video production. Each Telly Award submission is individually judged by a panel of professionals representing large and small national firms such as advertising agencies, TV stations, production houses and corporate video departments.
The interactive virtual tour microsite is part of a cross-media campaign developed to support ULV’s undergraduate admissions program. The virtual tour engages its targeted audience by providing them a glimpse behind the everyday life of a ULV undergraduate. The three featured students present their own individual stories via streaming video diaries in which they cover key topics such as student life, housing and academic programs. Built in Flash 9, the virtual tour also features user-friendly navigation enhanced with dynamic, interactive graphics and content.
