June 11, 2008 - Earthbound Media Group (EMG) executive management is thrilled to announce its newest expansion plans to open a new regional office location in the greater Austin, Texas area. At the close of the first quarter, principals Dr. Blaine Behringer and Damien Navarro announced the plans to further increase EMG’s presence to serve the increasing need for technology-driven strategic marketing expertise in the southwestern U.S.
“Our Austin expansion is highly significant in terms of building EMG’s presence across the nation,” explained Principal and Chief Operating Officer Dr. Blaine Behringer. “The Austin area fits very well into our future expansion plans and the new office will serve as a sister office to EMG’s corporate headquarters in Irvine.”
Under the direction of Principal and Chief Visionary Officer Damien Navarro, the new office will focus on building the EMG brand and recruiting the best and brightest talent. Over the years, Austin has transformed into an up-and-coming major metropolitan center. With a booming tech industry and a liberal-minded, vibrant culture, the Texas capital was a natural choice for a new EMG office.
“For years, the choice has been whether EMG should expand where clients are abundant or where the talent pool is,” explained Navarro. “But because communication has become so digitized, EMG has been able to effectively partner with and deliver positive results to our clients regardless of location. So, Austin has always been intriguing to EMG because it is a prime site for recruiting talent.”
EMG has already relocated a key team member to the Austin area earlier this year to begin the expansion process. Archana Prasan, Lead Architect and Senior Web Developer now lives in Austin and telecommutes via webinars and teleconferencing, an altogether simple and beneficial transition for everyone involved.
“With its scenic cityscapes and a climate comparable to California, Austin is truly a great place to live. The area is home to Dell, Intel, IBM and a few other big technology players,” added Archana. “For a technology-driven company like EMG, Austin will be a great place to expand. As an IT hub, Austin will serve as a fantastic environment for generating business as well as finding local talent.”
The brand new EMG office is expected to be up and running by the end 2008 and potentially as early as the fall. Talent recruitment and the search for office space in the heart of Austin’s technology corridor is currently underway.
