February 22, 2008 - Collegeville, PA – Allied Wire & Cable, one of the leading wire and cable distributors in the country, relocated its international headquarters from Phoenixville, PA to Collegeville, PA on January 14, 2008. Due to their unprecedented growth, Allied moved into a newly built 82,000 square foot state-of-the-art office and warehouse facility, more than doubling the size of its previous facility of 35,000 square feet. As a result of the expansion, AWC continues to be a leader in the wire and cable industry when it comes to quality products, pricing, and most importantly, lead time.
This new facility is in direct response to our customers’ greatest need: faster lead times. In order to provide customers the best service possible, AWC took an extra step and invested in new machinery that will enable them to stripe, twist and turn around material faster than ever. “Before the year is out, our motto will be In By One, Consider it Done, meaning all orders placed before 1:00 PM will be shipped that same day,” stated Allied’s President, Tim Flynn. “And with Allied’s strategically located offices and warehouses, one day shipping will be included for most customers.”
Along with the changes to the warehouse, the office building has tripled in size. In addition, the technology available at the new facility has given sales reps the opportunity to have their own direct phone lines.
“We are very excited here in PA about our new facility. It is much larger than our previous building, giving us tons of room for growth,” says Libby Achenbach, manager of the Pennsylvania branch. “We now have the ability to further provide our customers with even better service.”
