May 26, 2008 - Ekolojia.org is a new ecology website that combines social networking with social action! We have developed a new micro-grant program specifily for funding small ecology/conservation projects.
We are developing a public site for ecology and ecology projects, alternative energy and transportation, social networking for anyone interested in the continued well being of our planet and things you can do today to help save the planet.
Ekologia's website and educational project has three overall goals.
To raise awareness about the concept of an ecological footprint and help individuals consider and understand the ecological impact of their personal lifestyles.
To provide a Social Networking and general recycling resource site to build community presence and awareness.
To provide people the opportunity to take specific regenerative action(through donations to environmental projects in the Worldwide community inAmerica and beyond) to offset their ecological impact, without requiring drastic or immediate lifestyle changes. These action opportunities will also help to build the network between individuals and communities and existing ecology/conservation projects.
