Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease)
June 17, 2008 - On May 31, 2008 EDO Performance celebrated its fifth anniversary by hosting a huge event at our West Coast, Huntington Beach location.
The highlight of the event was an open invitation car show for vehicles of all makes and models. We featured cars of every make and model, but the majority of rides that made it out were Nissans, Subarus, Mitsubishis and Scions. There were two winners for the car show, one for “EDO’s Best” and one for “Crowd Favorite”. The winner for the EDO’s Choice award was Mike McGuiness and his 2004 Subaru WRX Wagon and the Crowd Favorite was David Chavez with his 2007 Subaru WRX-TR. Both car show winners received a Defi Gauge package and a trophy to take home.
All day long our parking lot was filled with a crowd of import racing heads and import car enthusiasts, checking out the hot rides and having a good time. We had vendors from all over the globe come out to show their support. Tomei Powered and Motul were on the scene showcasing displays and demonstrations. Chimera performance flew out from the East Coast to show off their porting and polishing services. There were tons of prizes donated by our high performance vendors including Zero/Sports, Works, Chimera Performance, South Coast Subaru, and Motul. The grand prize of the giveaway was a brand new set of Defi Gauges, won by Joseph Cruz.
Food and libations were offered up to everyone in attendance. In addition to the cars on display, there were also product demonstrations and technical discussions for the serious racing enthusiasts. The tech session on Zero/Sports products was very popular and provided exclusive information on dyno testing and tuning with Zero/Sports line of high performance JDM products for Subaru.
Overall this was an exciting day for the So Cal import tuning and racing community. We would like to thank all of the vendors, shops, and individuals who came out to celebrate EDO Performance’s fifth year as a leader in import performance parts and tuning.
