The report provides a concise overview of the latest version of the plan as it pertains to public safety, and commentary on the opportunities ahead for public safety buyers and vendors.
Galain President Rick Wimberly said, “Significant challenges are ahead figuring out how and when to spend the public safety money, and on what. The report addresses those challenges.” Wimberly says the report is based both on historical understanding and analysis of the current plan.

Galain will soon issue a comprehensive white paper titled, “Notifications/Alerts/Warnings: The Next Generation.” Wimberly says, “A new approach is developing in this important public safety topic. Our white paper will thoroughly look at a managed program of system-of-systems concept that’s gaining momentum.” The white paper includes input from a number of sources from the community of interest. It is scheduled for release in mid-February.
