October 29, 2006 - EchoTaps Worldwide is a cooperative effort of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Bugles Across America to increase awareness of VA programs and the availability of volunteer buglers to render live “Taps” at the funerals of Veterans.
The Military Salute Project in Woodbury, MN is representing Bugles Across America to coordinate the event at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Armed Forces Day, Saturday May 19, 2007. The program will include patriotic music, a Parade of Colors, a Rifle Squad Salute, and a Cascade of “Taps” performed by bagpipers and horn players.
The Military Salute Project, started in 2003 by five service-connected disabled Vietnam-era Veterans, distributes two patriotic videos at no charge. “Military Salute” is a 34-minute Windows Movie honoring America’s Armed Forces, past and present. “Welcome Home” is a 43-minute PowerPoint tribute to those who served honorably in the United States Armed Forces or in support of our Military during the Vietnam War.
