December 15, 2008 - Alabama Electronics Recyclers Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of Facility #1 in Huntsville. The facility location is at 7301 Stringfield Road, at the intersection of Stringfield and Jordan Lane. Alabama Electronics Recyclers is a new startup company that recycles obsolete computer and electronic equipment in such a way that nothing is refurbished, sent to landfill, or shipped for processing to 3rd World countries. All work, from intake to final processing, is done here in America with a view to preserving environmental integrity, and providing real jobs for Americans.
While Alabama Electronics Recyclers Inc. is just opening it doors here in Huntsville, this is not the first time founder and CEO Will Brown has been involved in the e-waste industry. Mr. Brown was previously the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer for an End of Life electronics processor for over 5 years. In addition to doubling as that company’s Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Director, Will brings many years of experience in the computer and electronics industry.
Alabama Electronics Recyclers Inc. will focus primarily on meeting the recycling needs of companies and government agencies, and will be open for individuals to bring in their obsolete equipment on Saturdays. While this is a fee-based service, there are some items that will be taken at no charge.
