According to the report, over 70% marketers confirmed contacting customers via e-mail. This indicates a striking 10% rise from 2007. More than half of the direct marketers indicated their intention of boosting their email budgets for the approaching year.

The report details that 66% of direct marketers still harness snail mail as a supplement to e-mail. This is a 4% decrease from 2007. The report also records that 59% of direct marketers also use snail mail to reach sales prospects.
