July 09, 2008 - Peter has extensive experience in audit and financial reporting and has worked with growing businesses in various capacities. In the eighties, Peter having qualified with Deloitte Haskins & Sells , was seconded to the Acorn Computer Group Plc to assist with its refinancing by the Olivetti Group.
Later after having spent several years abroad working for a large joint venture in the Middle East , Peter was appointed Finance Director of the Dencare Management Group Plc, a company established with the objective of forming a consolidated business of private dental practices. During his time there, the business grew from an annual turnover of £1.0m to £26m, and raised 3 rounds of equity and debt totalling £16m in order to fund its expansion programme. The company was recognised for its rapid growth in the Sunday Times ‘Fastest 100 Growing Companies’ and it subsequently merged with an AIM listed healthcare company in 2003.
