While Part 1 took on a high-level approach looking at the challenges confronted by green technology businesses in the midst of the economic slump, Part 2 features Navarro’s insight and focuses primarily on Orange County as the hub of energy-efficient and ecologically sustainable technology and innovation. To-date, more Orange County businesses including EMG have geared their focus toward a green management philosophy from process to execution in the workplace.

In Orange County, the green technology industry holds plenty of promise. As cited by Madden, the OC is anticipated to experience tremendous job growth over the next 12 months – whereby three out of four green technology employers in Orange County will increase the number of permanent employees. Significantly, this growth will mark an increase about 25% in total employment in the county alone.
“Green technology and the environment will continue to remain a hot issue for many years to come,” added Navarro. “OC companies will continue to expand and explore this area of study even further. In a period were innovation is a must, they will find new and improved ways to not only develop products that are economically sound, but ones that also reinforce a sustainable environment.”
