Thejo Engineering CEO, Mr. V A George said, “We plan to target 15% of the estimated Rs.200 crores Dust Suppression market within next two years. Thejo has brought this technology to counter environmental vulnerability created by India’s (second country to have this product) rapidly growing core sector. The distributorship came into existence because of the substantial growth anticipated in Thermal Power Plants (expected to increase by 50% in a few years), Steel Plants (expected to grow at the rate of 7%); similarly the infrastructure requirements will ensure substantial growth in cement capacities (expected to grow at 22% for the coming year). The requirement of other non ferrous minerals is also showing an increasing trend.”
He further added, “All these surges will have one common factor, increase in handling of mineral ores, coal, coke, limestone, dolomite etc. These raw materials will have to be mined, stored and transported, thus creating multiple points in the supply chain with potential dust pollution.
