December 18, 2008 - San Diego - The U.S. Fire Administration reports clogged dryer vents being the cause of over 15,000 fires costing millions of dollars annually. Dryer Vent Wizard franchise owner, Steve Gors is making a difference in his community by educating consumers on dryer vent maintenance to prevent fires.
During a recent interview, Steve explained, “In addition to being a fire hazard, clogged dryer vents cost consumers $18 - $24 per month in additional utility costs. Clogged vents also cause the dryer to work harder and possible, break down, adding an appliance repair bill to additional costs. Proper maintenance will extend the life of the dryer, prevent a fire and save on energy bills.”
