Drug Rehab Breathing Space Thailand Welcomes Personal Trainer, Nutritionist & Yoga Teacher Art Wongphan

A new addition to the Breathing Space Thailand team will ensure that they continue to provide a suite of complementary therapies that is of the very highest standard.

(1888PressRelease) June 10, 2009 - The Breathing Space Thailand drug rehab team has now been joined by Art Wongphan, who provides individualised Personal Training, Nutrition and Yoga classes to enrich the suite of complementary therapies already available on the Breathing Space Thailand drug rehab programme.

Art Wongphan has trained in Australia, Singapore and Bangkok, Thailand. His extensive experience encompasses a career in which he has worked in England, France, the Philippines and Japan.

Art is qualified as a Personal Fitness Trainer, Nutritionist and as a teacher of Meditation, Yoga and Pilates.

Garrett Tuck, drug rehab Breathing Space Thailand's Treatment Director says,

"We have constructed a drug rehab programme that provides clients with very individualised physical activities and complementary therapies that go way beyond the clichéd and somewhat 'token' approaches commonly found in drug rehabs where the gym and acupuncture are the norm. We felt it was very important to include physical activities that truly provide quality and a meaningful value to clients in early recovery from drug or alcohol addiction in a way that is very specific to the individual."

Drug rehab Breathing Space Thailand have designed their bespoke programme from the ground up to ensure that the range of physical activities they offer ensure that clients benefit on a number of different and multi-faceted levels.

Art Wongphan explains,
"We are able to provide Breathing Space Thailand's clients with a very well balanced and diverse range of physical activities that meet the client at a stage in his or her life when it may have been quite some time since they last performed any regular exercise. Despite the fact that clients might not have exercised for a while, we are able to present them with a simple Personal Training programme that will gently re-introduce them to the physical and mental benefits of exercise in their early recovery. We believe that this kind of physical activity will enhance our clients' mental alertness and therefore very much complement the therapeutic aspects of the Breathing Space Thailand drug rehab programme."

Many of Breathing Space Thailand's clients have really benefited from this approach to finding or re-discovering a healthy relationship with physical exercise. This balanced approach to physical exercise in a drug rehab environment is further complemented with Yoga classes that extend beyond a focus on the purely physical and move much more into the realm of mental health and well-being. This approach benefits not only those clients attending drug rehab Breathing Space Thailand to address a drug or alcohol addiction but also those clients who are attending the programme to address issues of depression or stress management.

Art, who is a qualified Yoga teacher, specialises in Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga is what most people in the West associate with the word "Yoga" and is widely practised for mental and physical health throughout the West. In addition to Hatha, Art also teaches clients at Breathing Space Thailand other Yoga techniques, such as Yin Yoga, which provides relaxing, rejuvenating and restorative movements to emphasise the passive stretching of the muscles.

Art's approach to teaching Yoga is designed especially to provide drug rehab Breathing Space Thailand's clients with the opportunity of enjoying an introduction that acknowledges that clients might very well be new to practicing Yoga.

Garrett Tuck explains,

"We believe that it is absolutely essential for our clients to benefit from a drug rehab programme that lets them experience, on an existential and a phenomenological level, the positive effects of both personal training and Yoga. Combined with a focus on nutrition, our clients are able to benefit from an overall elevated level of physical and mental well being during the course of a typical 28 day programme. The end result is that our clients complete their treatment with us not only feeling better mentally and physically but with a very solid framework on which to continue making progress in these areas, during their after-care, beyond the Breathing Space Thailand programme."

Drug rehab Breathing Space Thailand also provides clients attending their 28 day programme with 12 weeks of 1-2-1 after-care counselling, included in the programme fee, with a therapist in the client's locality to ensure there is on-going support from a well qualified and experienced professional.
