Richard P. Brown, MD, and Patricia L. Gerbarg, MD, co-authors with Philip R. Dr. Brown is Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University in New York. He is an internationally renowned expert on CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine). He gives over 200 medical lectures every year, including full-day courses for the American Psychiatric Association and other professional groups. He is a certified teacher of Aikido (4th Dan), Yoga, Qi Gong, and meditation.
Dr. Gerbarg, Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at New York Medical College, graduated from Harvard Medical School and the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. She lectures on neuro-psychoanalysis, trauma, and integrative treatments at American Psychiatric Association meetings and other conferences.
Radio host Dr. Pion, known as a “patient-centric” physician, holds his BA from New York University, and his medical degree from New York Medical College. He is a retired professor of obstetrics and gynecology with a special interest in medical knowledge technology. In 1983 he founded the Hospital Satellite Network, a satellite broadcasting provider for more than 1500 U.S. hospitals that produced teleconferences and other educational media services.
