December 30, 2008 - Chennai, India - Dr Rajan Gunaseelan, Medical Director at Rajan Dental (http://rajandental.com), has been elected as the President of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI - http://aomsi.com) at the organization's 33rd Annual Conference, held on November 29, 2008 in Lucknow, India.
The AOMSI is an association of qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons committed to the promotion of excellence in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Through its scientific deliberations, publications, continuing education programs, and conferences, AOMSI provides a forum for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons to interact and exchange information on the latest developments in the field. It also admits dental and medical professionals who have an interest in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, as non-voting Associate members.
Dr. Gunaseelan is one of India's premier Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, with a special interest in Dental Implants, Facial Deformity Correction, Temporo Mandibular Joint surgery, Cleft Lip & Palate Management, and Oral Pre-cancer treatment. He is a renowned dental implant surgeon and a thought leader in implant dentistry. Dr Gunaseelan has introduced many sophisticated dental implant techniques that have advanced the cause of dental implant surgery in India. He was the first Indian surgeon to perform the ground breaking Key Hole Dental Implant procedure within a few months of its USA launch. He is also a much sought after international speaker with several international publications to his credit.

Dr. Gunaseelan is the only examiner appointed to the panel this year from all of Asia.
