September 20, 2008 - The Allergy & Asthma Center in Conyers is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Mathew J. Greenhawt to the practice. Dr. Greenhawt joins Dr. Robert M. Cohen and Dr. Jon E. Stahlman, board certified allergy and asthma specialists who have been serving Rockdale, Newton, and the surrounding counties for over twenty years.
Dr. Greenhawt brings to the practice his expertise and extensive experience in treating all types of allergic disease and asthma in both children and adults. Dr. Greenhawt completed his sub-specialty training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and has already established himself as an expert in the area of food allergies. While at The University of Michigan, Dr. Greenhawt was the principal investigator in three national studies involving children and adults with peanut and tree nut allergies. His work has been has led to numerous publications and invitations to present his findings at national medical meetings. Dr. Greenhawt will continue to conduct clinical research with The Allergy & Asthma Center. His other clinical interests include food dye and additive allergy, medication allergy, gastrointestinal allergy, and disorders of the immune system.
