October 08, 2006 - Windows Vista RC2 (Build 5744) is the final test build before Windows Vista is released to manufacturing (RTM).
Early user feedbacks have indicated that Windows Vista Build 5744 is considerably faster than previous builds and includes some minor changes to the user interface.
The ISO file for Windows Vista RC2 (Build 5744) is almost 2.9GB in size and although direct download is possible, the use of Akamai Download Manager is strongly advised due to the sheer size.
Windows Vista RC2 (Build 5744) is available for download in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions.
