Jamaal Al-Din, owner of Boise, Idaho, based Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Al-Din has created a basketball memoralbilia webpage of the late N.C. State Wolfpack Head Basketball Coach, Jim Valvano. Jim Valvano led the North Carolina State Wolfpack through a "cinderella" season of basketball, which culminated by defeating heavily favored University of Houston and "phi slamma jamma," led by eventual NBA greats, Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon.
Jamaal Al-Din, who led the state of Idaho in scoring and played high-school basketball in Mountain Home, Idaho at Mountain Home High School for Ed Palubinskas, the for Olympic basketball record setter, is enthusiastic about acknowledging the achievements of Jim Valvano at 227.
