July 19, 2007 - The release of PUBLIC INTOXICATION DITCH'S 17 song full length major release has been pushed back one more week again due to the addition of some extras surprises for the cd. Ditch will not say what they are or in what way it will affect the final finished fully radio ready mastered version but one can bet that he's got some tricks up his sleeves for this one.
"There are a lot of cd's being released and tours in August, me still being a relative new comer I don’t want to be drowned by these tours or other artists, especially in a time where people are going to concerts less and buying less cd's "Ditch says of the changes in release dates of PUBLIC INTOXICATION Which was originally to be released on the two year anniversary of the releae of his debut cd "D.I.T.C.H.
For those of you unaware of what’s been going on in the DITCH camp lately. Ditch was signed on by STUDIO B PRODUCTIONS (Reggae artist and GRAMMY NOMINEE Pato Banton record his last album at Studio B) in March 2007 to record his platinum potential cd PUBLIC INTOXICATION after being discovered by Pato Banton's/Breddrin Daddy's drummer Tony Saenz. The cd took on a life of its own once DITCH was put into this professional environment and given a producer and an engineer to assure that this cd is a quality product.
The cd will feature songs like: "Lean to the side, 23's, Pumpin in the club, Making dem dollaz", that will keep any big audio system shaking and waking the neighbors all across the world. It also features agnst tracks like "Like me now, I aint scared, Por Video, Smoke it up,Should be happy I made it" to the motivating and weed blazing hit "legalize" a take on Peter Tosh's Bush Doctor, that is sure to be a crossover success for the hip hop artist.
The cd will bring back what has long been missing on albums packaging that makes it something the die hard or occasional fan wants to pick up. DITCH Promises us that he is bringing the feeling of getting something for your money when you buy an album back to music in an age where digital downloads are rapidly deteriorating the status quo of the market.
With over 200 shows for his last cd in two years DITCH put himself on the map without major label support by performing with such artists as: Bubba Sparxxx, Too Short, Pepper, Fishbone, Bishop Don Juan, Big B, Kottonmouth Kings, OPM, Mower, Powerman 5000,Lifeline, HB Surround Sound, Strung Out, Chapter 11 and many more and has transcended the barrier between rock/punk and hip hop. Ditch has also been the subject of many media events and television productions and has seen support from HBO”S OZ Chuck Zito, to the Discovery Channels Big Daddy The Kustomizer. “People when i started were always saying; don’t make a music video, dont do this dont do that on your record, don’t show your tats and I just always did it like I was already there, like I had already made it and my hard work and persistence is paying off.” Ditch says about the career choices he made when people didn’t always see his visions “it was always hard at the beginning, it still is... people hate, people talk s**t, but ive found my passion, ive found a way to make my dreams come true. Hard work will always pay off. My own family didn’t always seen it my way either. They did once the checks came in...”Ditch says in a unmentioned magazine interview set to be released next month.
