DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens Celebrates 5th Anniversary

While some celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with ice cream and cake, DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens marked its fifth anniversary doing what it does best: showing consumers in the greater Metropolitan New York area a brand new way to save on home improvement projects, furnishings and accessories.

(1888PressRelease) September 06, 2008 - BROOKLYN, QUEENS, WOODSIDE, NEW YORK CITY, NY. As the leading members-only showroom and home design center and three-time winner of DirectBuy Corporate’s “Center of the Year” award, DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens offers manufacturer-direct pricing on products ranging from light fixtures to televisions to kitchen cabinets, all from more than 700 manufacturers and their authorized suppliers. DirectBuy also offers design, delivery and installation services.

“It’s hard to believe five years have gone by since we opened for business. The time really has flown by. Not only have we grown in terms of the number of our members, but also in the number of manufacturers who want to sell their products through DirectBuy. And that’s got us even more excited about the next five years,” said Marti Brandt, co-owner of DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens.

In addition to the tremendous savings on home furnishings, home improvement items, entertainment and outdoor products and accessories, DirectBuy also offers design services to its members, as well as a listing of local contractors who offer installation services to DirectBuy members, many times at a discounted rate.

“Our five years in business have not only given us the opportunity to help families in the area create the home of their dreams, but to also establish ourselves as part of the local business community,” said Michael Wiseltier, co-owner of DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens. “We look forward to further cultivating those relationships with our customers and the community as we build toward even bigger and better things in the years to come.”

In addition to introducing more people to DirectBuy, DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens has also become a fixture in the local community. It has recently paired with DirectBuy of Manhattan to launch the “Nearly Perfect Non-Profit Donation Program.” This program involves donating imperfect items that manufacturers will not exchange to non-profit organizations in the greater New York City area.

Consumers interested in becoming DirectBuy members may obtain a Visitor’s Pass to attend an Open House by contacting DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens at 718-247-2320, or contact the center co-owner Michael Wiseltier or Marti Brandt at info ( @ ) directbuybq dot com.
