Digital Current and Fry-Wagner team up for environmentally sound storage of documentation

With green initiatives taking on more importance for many companies, Fry-Wagner and Digital Current are teaming up to provide Fry-Wagner’s clients with digital storage of documentation. The partnership brings together two major players in their respective industries and forms a fully-integrated, information management service.

(1888PressRelease) May 02, 2009 - St. Louis, MO — As part of its company-wide commitment to environmentally conscious business practices, Fry-Wagner will use Digital Current, a division of Geneva Roth Companies, to convert clients’ documents to digital format. The partnership joins two major players in their respective industries. Fry-Wagner is celebrating a century in the moving and storage business and in that time has been both versatile and innovative. Digital Current utilizes technology and expertise to provide its clients with digital storage, conversion and litigation lifecycle consultation.

Fry-Wagner provides hard copy storage for more than 100 legal, medical and insurance clients in Kansas City and St. Louis. In all, Eric Gephardt, Fry-Wagner Account Executive estimates that there are over 200,000 records boxes, each of which can hold 1,000 sheets of paper, potentially bringing the total number warehoused by Fry-Wagner to 200 million documents.

While there will always be a need to maintain paper storage, Fry-Wagner also sees the need for digital document storage and making information available to its clients immediately. That’s why the company approached Digital Current, the leader in digital document management.

“Fry-Wagner partners with vendors that value superior customer service, quality, and complete satisfaction for their customers” said Gephardt. He cited Digital Current President Leland Macon’s willingness to travel from St. Louis to Kansas City for meetings and the staff’s comfort with Macon as benefits that put Digital Current ahead of the competition.

“We can provide them with steps into litigation preparedness and make eDiscovery services, a crucial, time-saving process, available to their clients,” said Leland Macon, president of Digital Current.

“This will allow Fry-Wagner and Digital Current to market itself as a fully integrated information management company offering physical storage and retrieval, imaging, and document destruction services,” said Gephardt.

Fry-Wagner will use Digital Current to digitize older documents on an as-needed basis, and move forward with digital storage for new documents and new customers. Digital documents will allow customers immediate access to their stored materials. It’s seen as a cost-cutting measure for clients, since administrative staff will see little interruption in day-to-day business functions. Rather than going to a dusty storage space and going through reams and reams of paper, they will be able to access necessary information any time of the day.

“We’re looking forward to this opportunity in our partnership with Fry-Wagner,” said Macon. “They’ve always been an excellent service provider. With our capabilities, they will be more competitive in the industry, provide more effective service for their customers, and continue their efforts to environmentally sound practices.”
