DigiLinea Expands DID Telephone Number Coverage To Over 100 Cities In Latin America On The DigiLinea Pan Regional VoIP Network

Doral, FL, June 20, 2006 – DigiLinea (www.DigiLinea.com), the leading Voice over IP (VoIP) service and infrastructure provider to the US Hispanic and Latin American markets, announced today the further expansion of DID coverage on the DigiLinea Pan Regional VoIP network to over 100 cities in Latin America. This expansion and coverage is important as DigiLinea, unlike most other VoIP providers, is

(1888PressRelease) June 20, 2006 - For the US Hispanic market, having local DID’s is essential to have a compelling VoIP offering for this group. As the majority of their calling are to and from Latin America, having an unlimited US calling plan and telephone number is of limited interest. DigiLinea, due to it’s pan regional VoIP network, is currently the only VoIP provider that can provide US Hispanics with the VoIP features they want including unlimited calling to their home countries and the ability to have their friends and family call them on their local Latin American telephone number as if they were still in their home country in Latin America. With this most recent expansion the current DigiLinea VoIP network footprint covers 77% of all outbound traffic from the US to Latin America representing $1.4 Billion in revenue and 9 Billion minutes a year from the US market alone. Gregory Keough CEO and Chairman of DigiLinea stated, “To offer VoIP services relevant to the US Hispanic market you must be a VoIP provider that is vertically integrated into Latin America working both sides of the border, like DigiLinea, which requires a high level of expertise, licensing, and local operating experience which is extremely time consuming and expensive to achieve. We like this model as it forms substantial barriers to entry for others that wish to compete and makes offering a me too service quite difficult.”

This coverage is also important to DigiLinea’s Latin American offering, as these markets are expected to see some of the fastest growth rates in the world with a projected 13.1 percent CAGR to $273 billion in 2009 from $167 billion in 2005. DigiLinea has the local infrastructure ready in conjunction with this expansion for fulfillment, payment and delivery to be ideally positioned to serve these local markets as well as they continue to grow. “As DSL not cable is the predominant form of broadband penetration in Latin America this means incumbents must cannibalize their existing businesses to compete, unlike the US where cable is the predominant broadband delivery vehicle and voice represents added revenue per subscriber. This coupled with the fact that incumbents in the region have very high rates, and are in general not well known for their customer service and flexibility we feel provides DigiLinea with a unique position to substantially grow not just our US Hispanic services but our local Latin American operations as well”, added Mr. Keough.

Mr. Keough summed up by saying, “I think the continued expansion of DigiLinea shows how focusing on one niche market, albeit a very large one of the US Hispanic and Latin American markets, and doing it well can provide for substantial barriers to entry and proves to be a good business model and strategy in the VoIP world which I believe you will see replicated in other niche markets worldwide.”
