  • Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) June 20, 2014 - DiCo Manufacturing's no-nonsense commitment to quality and timely turnaround has earned them a large ongoing contact producing highly specialized laminated welding shunts for a major welding gun manufacturer.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for DiCo to demonstrate expertise in production, customer service and delivery, said Diane Centofanti, owner of DiCo Manufacturing. "We are confident in our capacity to meet ongoing production demands to the highest quality standards."

The contract is a multi-company commitment requiring DiCo to produce custom laminated shunts with machine ends. Through the contact DiCo will be serving national and international customers on a regular basis.

"Because this is an ongoing contract DiCo will fulfill all orders and reorders," Centofanti said. "The terms of this contract reflect our respected position in the marketplace and as a preferred vendor."

DiCo Manufacturing is a premier manufacturer of custom laminated welding shunts and resistance welding components. "Our passion for customer satisfaction drives all areas of DiCo Manufacturing," Centofanti said. "From satisfying blueprints to exact customer specifications to meeting delivery deadlines, we have earned a reputation for manufacturing excellence and dependability."

To be considered for the contact DiCo needed to be PPAP approved. The Production Part Approval Process is used in automotive supply chains for establishing confidence in component suppliers and their production processes.

PPAP approval is an intense process that requires multi-tiered information to determine whether the client's requirements have been understood, the product being supplied meets those requirements, the process is capable of producing conforming products, and the production control plan and quality management system will prevent non-conforming product reaching the client or compromising the safety and reliability of finished products.

"The PPAP process confirms DiCo's design and manufacturing abilities are optimized to fulfill the customers' requirements to their quality standards," Centofanti said.

The contract has prompted DiCo to expand operations by "adding one person to the office to manage administrative duties and one technician to the shop to assist with the increased workflow," Centofanti said. "Expanding DiCo's workforce ensures we have the manpower to fulfill jobs to the high quality standard and turnaround times our customers expect."
In addition to expanding its staff, DiCo joined the Michigan Business Professional Association (MBPA) and the American Welding Society (AWS). The MBPA has a large statewide influence promoting community initiatives that impact more than 150,000 businesses. The AWS advances the science, technology and application of welding and related disciplines.

"DiCo is pleased to belong to the MBPA and AWS" Centofanti said. "These organizations provide DiCo the opportunity to reach out to the community and to support growth in the welding industry."

DiCo is also a registered member of the Women's Business Enterprise National Counsel (WBENC) which is dedicated to advancing the success of certified women's business enterprises.

The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is dedicated to advancing the success of Corporate Members, certified women's business enterprises (WBEs), and government entities in partnership with its Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs).

DiCo Manufacturing is a woman owned business founded in 2006 producing high-quality custom laminated welding shunts and resistance welding components for customers located through the USA.
