March 23, 2007 - Krystali (chris-star-lee) Diamonds are famous for their Swarovski crystal covered cell phones. These have been called ’the most beautiful cell phones in the world’. Designs have included Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, President George W. Bush and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Angels are a range of cell phones inset with flawless flush mounted diamonds. They are named after the people of Los Angeles who inspired their creation following the city’s hosting of last year’s Envy Expo.
In July 2006, Krystali co-sponsored and exhibited at the Envy Expo held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This was a showcase for the hottest and most desirable jewellery, gadgets, vehicles and luxury accessories available anywhere in the world.

“The Envy Expo was a huge success for us” said Philip De Vere of Krystali Diamonds. “The feedback was phenomenal. One of the questions repeatedly asked was whether our phones were available with real diamonds. We decided to create the sexiest, most desirable cell phones on the planet. Iced out, diamond covered bling capable of stopping traffic”.
“The diamonds we use can be billions of years old” said Philip De Vere. “It is believed some could be up to ten billion years old, pre-dating the earth.
Ancient diamond bearing meteorites pounded the infant earth. These interstellar jewels could have formed the heart of some of the diamonds in existence today” he added. “Making ‘The Angels’ cell phones that are literally out of this world”.
Several months of experimentation and work have created ‘The Angels’.

“We named the cell phones ‘The Angels’ firstly to say thank you to the people of Los Angeles for their hospitality and help regarding the Envy Expo, and for providing the inspiration for these phones. And secondly in reference to the mythical properties of diamonds to protect against evil spirits. Like guardian angels” Philip De Vere added.
The diamond cell phones are designed to compliment Krystali Diamonds ‘Tears of the Gods’ collection of diamond jewellery.
The custom made diamond cell phones join the Krystali IK:on range of Swarovski crystal covered cell phones and accessories.
“We have taken our jewellery expertise and knowledge gained from creating the most beautiful cell phones in the world to develop these head turning objects of desire” said Philip De Vere. “We apply custom designs and motifs to create an individual phone, unique to its owner. Now, not only can we dress an individual from head to toe in diamonds, we can do the same for their phone” he added.
Krystali Diamonds offers three options for diamond covered cell phones.
• Diamond accented: from 1 to 100 diamonds.
• Diamond studded: from 100 to 1000 diamonds.
• Diamond covered: from 1000 to 3000+diamonds
A Motorola RAZR V3 fully covered would have 3000 flawless flush mounted diamonds inset into its casing. Each diamond would be between 0.15 and 0.20 carats in weight and 2mm in diameter. This would be a total diamond weight of 600 carats, 120 grams or 4.24 ounces.
Prices for the diamond cell phones range from under $1,000 (£500) to over $1,000,000 (£500,000) depending on the number of diamonds chose.
The number of diamonds set into each phone depends on the client’s choice. If a client changes their phone at a later date the diamonds can be removed and re-set into a new model if required.
