Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) July 11, 2008 - Style-pd Inc. announced today that it has officially launched its website http://www.style-pd.com/.

Style-pd.com offers a platform for up-and-coming creators such as designers, artists, and creative companies to exhibit their works online and also provide opportunities for them to sell their works online internationally. The website also offers news content related to design and art including information regarding competitions and exhibitions.

The purpose of the website is to promote up-and-coming independent creators worldwide and help them advance their careers.

This unique platform involves two e-market places: “The Shop” and “B2B Place”. “The Shop” was designed for the public, and “B2B Place” is oriented towards business customers such as retailers and architects. The e-marketplaces will be available in seven languages, and in two currencies, US dollars and Euro.

Currently, the number of the designers, artists, and creative companies listed on the website is 50, coming from Japan, Sweden, and Germany. By the end of 2008, the website is planning to include creators from over 20 different countries.

Business development

Style-pd is comprised of two group companies. Style-pd, Inc. has been operating from Tokyo, Japan since 2002. It was joined in 2005 by Style-pd/Sweden, operating from Stockholm, Sweden.

Style-pd has been promoting designers and artists since 2003. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, it worked in collaboration with the Swedish Trade Council and the Swedish Embassy and co-ordinated the “Swedish Style in Tokyo” exhibition. In 2004, Style-pd also curated the T-shirt exhibition at “Tokyo Style in Stockholm”, which took place at Konstfack, university College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, and showcased the works of both Swedish and Japanese designers and artists. Again in collaboration with the Swedish Trade Council and the Swedish Embassy, style-pd oversaw the “Swedish Style in Milan” design exhibition in Lecco, Italy, which took place every second month throughout 2004.

Since its inception, Style-pd has distributed design- and art-related products throughout Japan. Since 2005, Style-pd/Sweden has been distributing similar products in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

The BETA version of www.style-pd.com has been available since March 2007, and Style-pd is officially launching its website in July 2008.
