Denver Outsourcing Professionals Form Rocky Mountain Chapter

The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals will hold the first meeting of its Rocky Mountain chapter on March 20 in Denver.

Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) March 19, 2008 - The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP) newly formed Rocky Mountain Chapter will hold its inaugural meeting this week with a presentation on “Why Outsource, Why Not: A Realistic View of Both Sides of the Story.”

The meeting will be held March 20, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Bennett’s, 3700 Peoria Street, in Denver. The event is free and open to users, advisors and providers of outsourcing services who are individual or corporate members of IAOP or their guests.

Chapter Chairman Roger Gloddy, vice president, business development technology head of HTMT Global Solutions, and Bill Kuhns, director of service of EDS, will discuss how to initiate outsourcing, identify financial implications for each type of “shoring” arrangement, create a selection process, and prepare internally.

“Based on the growth in outsourcing and strong interest from outsourcing customers, providers and advisors in the Denver area, we are excited to be kicking off our new IAOP Rocky Mountain Chapter,” said Jeni Stamas, IAOP managing director of membership. “We look forward to providing a new venue where local professionals from various industries can come together in a collaborative environment to educate, share ideas and network with the goal of delivering strategic value to the participants and their companies.”

The IAOP Rocky Mountain Chapter will meet bi-monthly and feature guest speakers who will provide information designed to enhance knowledge of the outsourcing industry to assist individuals and companies in their outsourcing decisions.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter is among nearly 45 chapters of the global outsourcing association established or being formed by geography, industry or specialty outsourcing segment.
