October 25, 2008 - Being one of the 130,000 visitors to GITEX this week in Dubai, you could easily forget about the economic recession. This exhibition is the biggest event in information technology in the Middle East and 3,300 companies are fighting for slices of the ever-growing regional market.
Software vendor Recruitment Systems is just one relatively small player amongst the massive cohort of exhibitors. Being based in Australia and selling products designed only for recruitment professionals is now proving extremely difficult because of the immense fear of recession now held by recruiters in Australia.
Recruiters visiting GITEX this week do not appear at all phased by this fear of recession. Recruitment Systems has been engaged by 65 large corporations and recruitment agencies in the region looking to deploy new recruitment software. Recruitment Systems will establish a much stronger presence in the region to manage these large-scale enterprise software deployments and to further market the new TRIS Recruitment CRM product which was launched at GITEX.
The continued growth of recruitment in the Middle East helped Recruitment Systems win a major award for exporters in Australia this month. The ACT Chief Minister’s Export Award and huge demand for recruitment software at GITEX Dubai are testament to the fact that there are still huge opportunities for business success during economic downturn.
