August 06, 2009 - E Lynn Harris’s death was a shock to all that are a part of the literary world. His sudden death on Thursday, July 23rd taken most author’s aback. Jeanette Michelle of Dark Mantis Internet talk show did not want to waste anytime in acknowledging E. Lynn Harris as a spectacular author in this Millennium.
“I never had the opportunity to meet him and I’m saddened that he passed on before I had that chance,” says Jeanette Michelle. “In being an author, I appreciate what he had done – he told the truth in words that everyone feared to do. He took that step and opened Pandora’s Box and told the truth about the life of being a homosexual on the down low. It saddens me that America does not recognize Black writers of his magnitude.”
On Wednesday’s show dated August 5th 2009, Jeanette Michelle along with co-host Autrey will pay tribute to the late E. Lynn by reading excerpts from his books as well as a short bio.
