Beginning next year, Martin’s world of the Winter Kingdoms finds a new home at Orbit Books. Martin will continue the adventures of King Martris Drayke, Lord Jonmarc Vahanian and the vayash moru with The Fallen Kings Cycle. Book One: The Sworn will be released by Orbit in 2011.
The Summoner, the first title in the series, sold through four printings in the first year after its release and has returned for additional printings since then. It remained on the Book Sense bestseller list for over 12 weeks, pegged top spots on many other bestseller lists, and garnered high praise from reviewers and readers. The Blood King, book two in the series, followed The Summoner’s strong sales, making its own appearances on bestseller lists in the U.S. and U.K. Dark Haven has seen equally strong sales.
