Dancers Dana Wilson and Ava J. Bernstine team up to interview with JigTV.com

Ava J. Bernstine has always had the privilege of dancing for a living, whether it is as a teacher or as a backup dancer. Dana Wilson had a different route of 9-5 with Urban Outfitters, working her tail off after work to get into the dance scene. Both currently are touring with Justin Timberlake on his "Future Sex/Love Sounds" tour. Both have built up extensive portfolios and have gotten to have many amazing experiences while doing what they love.

Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) May 14, 2009 - In this special dual dancer interview, Ava and Dana talk about the Justin Timberlake tour and the interview process. Having just got back from Europe, two California shows were on deck, then they ship off to Australia and New Zealand. Ava J. Bernstine's favorite country in Europe was Germany, she said the people were so alive there and it was so much fun. Both dancers agree that they don't really get nervous before shows, its just a lot of fun to be on stage doing what they love.

If the online dance community is curious as to how an interview process goes for a tour as expansive as Justin Timberlake's, it really is a long process. This particular tour is a private call, which means the choreographer goes through portfolios and looks at pictures and then invites dancers out to the audition. This way they are familiar with the dancers already and can narrow it down so that they don't have to do thousands of interviews for hopeful dancers. With the drop in dancers there were probably about 200 auditions for this tour.

After the audition Dana Wilson says they waited months, a long long time to find out who was going on tour. In that time they shot the video and did other things all without knowing whether or not they were going to get to go on the tour. Once on the tour they spend all of the time working out and taking class. Ava says they can literally find a gym anywhere, no matter where in the world they are. This particular tour had a two a day ten week boot camp to get them in shape for the road. They are even able to use the web to access an online dance class or two.

Both dancers agree that you do have to be aware of your image. You need to be aware of how fit you are and how your hair looks, your clothing style, how tall you are, skin tone. LA is very diverse and it is possible for any dancer to find their scene that suits the image. Even still Dana recommends having a safety net when moving to LA to dance, have a job, have savings, and have friends, and have an open mind to the experience
