Dallas attorney Mark A. Shank, noted for his lengthy record of leadership in local, state and national legal organizations, has been designated a name partner in the Dallas law firm now known as Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank LLP.

He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law as well as Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, making him one of the rare attorneys to earn board certification in two areas of law. He has served as lead counsel in several Fair Labor Standards class-action matters.

    Mr. Shank was recently named one of the 100 most powerful employment attorneys in the United States by Human Resources Executive magazine, and has regularly been named as one of the state's Top 100 Lawyers on the Texas Super Lawyers list published annually in Texas Monthly.

    Among his many positions of service to the legal community, Mr. Shank is particularly recognized for his work as president of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and his service as chairman of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, Texas Bar Foundation and Dallas Bar Foundation, and a director of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Shank is a Fellow of the American College of Labor Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has earned numerous awards for his community service and professional achievements.
