February 06, 2008 - LODI, CA – D. Brown Management, a leading provider of consulting services for the construction industry, announced today the schedule for their 2008 “Profit Happens Here!” training classes and workshops. A percentage of profits from the series, designed to help contractors grow, change, and train their teams more effectively and efficiently, will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. With the purchase of one training session, the company will contribute 10 percent to the nonprofit organization that is dedicated to making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
“Habitat for Humanity is a cause that is especially relevant to those in the construction industry,” said David Brown, president of D. Brown Management. “We are proud to partner with the organization and appreciate everything that they do for communities throughout the world.”
The “Profit Happens Here!” classes and workshops offered by D. Brown Management include:
How Project Teams Can Improve Cash Flow – A two hour session that focuses on explaining cash flow, why it is critical for a company, and key action items that can be put into practice immediately to improve cash flow.
Mastering the Work-In Progress Schedule – This four hour “Lunch n’ Learn” session focuses on the work-in-progress (WIP) schedule – what it is and how it can be used to drive operational performance.
Integrating Accounting and Operations – An intense one day workshop geared for senior managers and owners of medium to large contracting businesses. The workshop’s facilitation and peer group interaction is geared to help executives and owners generate ideas and a plan for improving performance by helping accounting and operations work together more effectively.
Project Productivity – This one day workshop is geared towards project managers, superintendents, and foremen. It focuses on four of the “Profit Happens Here!” modules including Project Pre-Planning, Impacted Productivity, Staying On-Track, and Production Tracking.
Unlike other training programs, D. Brown Management’s “Profit Happens Here!” series focuses on helping attendees find applicable, actionable ideas that deliver valuable return on investment for their companies. Instructors are industry leaders, who maintain an active interest in their students’ successes following the sessions. D. Brown Management also offers a variety of training modules, consulting services, and customized solutions to supplement the ideas taught in the series.
According to David, “Our approach is hands-on, and we extend that to our training philosophy,” “We only consider ourselves successful when our clients and students see a direct, positive improvement to their bottom line.”
The “Profit Happens Here!” series is offered in nine Northern California locations starting in March.
