Cushman & Wakefield Promotes Josh Cohen of Morristown

  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) March 23, 2011 - Josh Cohen of Morristown has been promoted to the position of associate director at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., announced Gualberto "Gil" Medina, executive managing director of the commercial real estate services firm's New Jersey operations. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2007 as part of its Transaction Services team in Morristown.

    Cohen specializes in office leasing, representing major corporate users and select agency leasing assignments. He has worked or is working with such high-profile organizations as Watson Pharmaceuticals, Travelport , First Solar, Brown & Brown Insurance, Intel, Morgan Stanley, AT&T, General Electric, Rutgers University and Siemens, among others. Since joining Cushman & Wakefield, Cohen has been involved in approximately 1,000,000 square feet of transactions.

    Cohen was part of the Cushman & Wakefield brokerage team involved in a NAIOP deal of the year award-winning, 415,000-square-foot lease transaction for Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. The company will relocate 1,600 employees from Manhattan to Jersey City, N.J., in early 2013.

    Other notable recent transactions included representing Watson Pharmaceuticals in its 147,000-square-foot world headquarters lease in Parsippany, N.J. and the completion of a 123,000-square-foot lease on behalf of Vision Equities to Advanced Health Media for its new corporate headquarters in Berkeley Heights, N.J.

    Cohen is a Licensed Salesperson in the State of New Jersey. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society as well as the Golden Key International Honors Society.

    Cohen also is an avid runner and participated in both the 2003 and 2004 New York City Marathons. He finished in the top 10 percent both times out of a field of more than 36,000 runners. Most recently, he completed the 2010 Philadelphia Marathon this past November.
