June 20, 2008 - Chef Eric’s Culinary Classroom, has scheduled the next session of its 10-week Culinary Baking I Program to begin on Sunday, June 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the final class of the session scheduled for August 24.
This Culinary Baking I program provides comprehensive instruction of fundamental baking skills as well as plating and presentation. Each class covers instruction and recipes for a different topic, including yeast breads, pies, cakes, soufflés, ice cream, and dessert sauces. During the course final, on the last day of class, every student prepares a full dessert and learns to plate or present them beautifully. Of course, delicious food is enjoyed by all at the end of each class.
The registration fee of $1,200 includes the expansive Culinary Institute of America textbook, an embroidered chef jacket and apron ($100 value) and all materials used during class. Certificates are awarded upon completion of all 10 classes and CHEF ERIC also assists in career guidance and job placement.
This program is designed for students who are considering careers in baking as well as for students who are simply seeking to become more confident bakers at home.
