March 31, 2009 - The ROI Academy has unveiled the dates for its 2009/2010 Open Training Evaluation Workshops. Following the success of the workshops since The ROI Academy’s launch in January 2007, the programme for 2009/2010 includes a series of two courses – the One-Day Tools and Techniques Introductory Workshop and the Two-Day Training Evaluation Masterclass (an implementation workshop).
The Open Courses have been designed and are led by Hedda Bird, recognised in the L&D environment for her ROI work and training evaluation White Papers - How to Build a Business Case and How to Value the Impact of Human Performance Programmes.
Hedda explains ‘Now more than ever it is essential that Learning & Development knows how much value training is adding to an organisation. Our open workshops are designed to give all Learning and Development professionals the skills and confidence to defend and enhance training investment across an organisation’.
Both courses are aimed at HR and Learning and Development professionals who are looking to acquire essential Return on Investment (ROI) tools and techniques.
The One-Day Tools and Techniques Workshop is an introductory level workshop aiming to help training professionals get started on ROI projects. During the day delegates learn about ROI (Return on Investment) and what that means to senior management in terms of financial terminology, calculations and expectations. The day takes delegates through some very recognizable business scenarios enabling them to align training to business goals and understand the impact a training programme might have on the bottom line.
The Two-Day Masterclass is for those needing to implement training evaluation. Delegates use The ROI Academy tools and techniques on a real project, develop an implementation plan for the organisation and leave with a clear set of next actions.
The ROI Academy also offers these workshops as in-house courses for those who want to educate a large number of Learning and Development members of staff within an organisation, and receive organisation specific consultancy.
