October 20, 2007 - Crescent Ridge delivery drivers will collect non-perishable food donations from home delivery customers and dairy bar collection boxes. Home delivery customers may leave their donation, clearly marked, for their delivery driver to pick up during the week October 29th to November 2nd. Dairy Bar customers may also help stamp out hunger by making a food bank donation to the collection boxes at Crescent Ridge’s Sharon and Holbrook locations in return for a free small ice cream cone.
Crescent Ridge will deliver all collected donations to the Greater Boston Food Bank on November 5th.
This past spring, Crescent Ridge Dairy held a very successful food drive and collected 3,284 pounds in food donations for the Greater Boston Food Bank.
“Our first food drive was a tremendous success and we’d like to try to do as well with this food drive. With the holidays around the corner and the cold weather settling in, we’d like to do as much as we can to help keep the food bank pantry full,” noted Mark Parrish, president of Crescent Ridge Dairy.
