July 26, 2007 - Lifting Solutions’ new architectural steel company - Creative Steel Solutions - continues along its expansion strategy with the launch of a brand new product designed to meet a growing demand in the market – Smoking Solutions.
The countdown has started. On 1 July 2007, smokers became an endangered breed - at least while they are out in public. New laws mean that virtually all enclosed and partially enclosed public places and workplaces are now smoke-free zones. This includes pubs, bars, restaurants, clubs, offices, factories, shops and most work vehicles that are used by more than one person.
Such a blanket ban may give cause for concern for those in the hospitality trade, however it is being seen as an opportunity by the Lifting Solutions group of companies, as group sales & marketing director, Mark Stephens explains: “There are now heavy penalties for breaking the anti-smoking laws including fines of up to £1,000 for failure to display no smoking signs, £200 fines for smoking in a non-smoking area and a whopping £2,500 for failing to prevent smoking in a non-smoking area.
”By offering an attractive outdoor option for smoking, businesses can comply with the new law, ensure they don’t get a hefty fine and also make a concession to smokers. In the case of pubs, clubs, hotels and other retail and leisure businesses, this could make the difference between whether they keep customers or not, so we are expecting our varied smoking solutions to be very popular.

Smoking Solutions offers a range of smoking shelters from a modular ‘base’ entry level priced at £1495, to a bespoke design service.
