  • New Orleans, LA (1888PressRelease) July 25, 2015 - Sidney LePree, Chef and Owner of Kingdom Personal Chef Services, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

    After graduating from high school Sidney LePree landed his first job in a restaurant as a cook at Max's PoBoys Shop in New Orleans, Louisiana. Soon after, he enlisted in the US Army, placed on their culinary team, where he had the opportunity to compete around the country in various competitions through the American Culinary Federation. Retiring as an E-6 Staff Sergeant after 22 years of service, Mr. LePree is now retired and has since started his own personal chef/caterer business, called Kingdom Personal Chef Services.

    Catering private parties for 1-20 people and larger parties of up to 20-300, Mr. LePree first sits down with clients to discuss menu options, allergies and food intolerances, and all other details of the party that is beneficial to the client's overall objectives.

    "Working in professional kitchens in New Orleans under some well-known chefs has absolutely made me a better cook," Mr. LePree said who specializes in New Orleans Cajun Cuisine, Thai, and Chinese, "but my grandmother is the one who always pushed me to pursue my passion for cooking."

    Hoping to someday be able to erect a facility for homeless vets where he can offer both food and shelter, Mr. LePree would also love to travel and teach others how to eat healthier, especially children.

    Earning an Associate's Degree in Dietary Management from Del Gado Community College in 2014, Mr. LePree furthered his education at Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts. He is a certified Chef, a certified Serve Safe Food Manager, and is certified in Serve Safe, all in the state of Louisiana. He is a member of American Culinary Federation, American Legion, and Masonic Lodge. Receiving numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals during his time in the US Army and through the American Culinary Federation, Mr. LePree also received recognition for being one of a group of individuals to start the Culinary Program at Ft. Lee, Virginia, completing the program ahead of schedule. He also earned numerous Arcom awards from the US Army and General and Colonel coins that represent greatness from the highest commanding officer of the Army for his culinary skills in the US Army.
