Banks first served his country as a non-commissioned officer in the US Air Force, stationed at HQ Air Force Office of Special Investigations in Washington, DC from 1985-89. During that period, Mr. Banks held a Top Secret Security Clearance, and as a result he participated in a number of Top Secret Initiatives. However, he provided oversight in the areas of management, investigations, audit review, and controlling the release of classified information to non-Air Force entities.
"My military experience was a huge contributor to my successes in the fields of operational risk management and corporate compliance," Mr. Banks said. "I believe that Jesus, followed by the injustices I've seen over the years, especially in the areas of risk, compliance, and business ethics, were the sources of my inspiration that have brought me to this point in my career."
Mr. Banks holds a BA in Organizational Leadership Systems from Baldwin Wallace University. He is currently pursuing his MBA in Management at Baldwin Wallace University, he hopes to eventually secure a senior level ops risk management, fraud investigations management, or compliance management role with a fortune 500 company.
Currently Mr. Banks utilizes his skills as a member of the Business Continuance Management Team for PNC Bank. He is also an active member of The Institute of Internal Auditors and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and accolades throughout his career as well. As an assistant vice-president and manager of ops risk management and fraud investigations, he was presented with the JPMorgan Chase Award for Financial Excellence in 2004 due to the recovery of stolen funds totaling in excess of $3.5MM.
