  • Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) January 29, 2016 - Jacklyn Price, Chief Executive Officer of JJ Productions, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

Going back to school to study film and production, Jacklyn Price was ready to venture into an entirely new field. As the Owner of Metro Mobile Physicians, a mobile doctor's office, she eventually transitioned into forming JJ Productions, a production company created for the Detroit Urban Community.

As the CEO of JJ Productions, Ms. Price oversees production, directing, writing, editing, and casting. She is also responsible for all other post and preproduction duties and serves as the Host of Tru D Chronicles, a Detroit media talk show she started in the second half of 2015. Greatly inspired by a few famous Hollywood gurus, including Quinton Tarantino, her favorite director, Angela Bassett, African American writer, director, and actress, and Tyler Perry, whose story pushes her to follow her dreams as a writer and director, Ms. Price hopes to soon write, produce, and direct her own feature films and, perhaps, host her own prime time talk show and act, she is eager about the future of her production business.

"All my hurt and disappointments inspired me to be where I am today," Ms. Price said. "Growing up in a very rural Detroit neighborhood where all odds were against me, I became a very troubled youth who was in and out of juvenile and jail. I had to change my life. I was determined to be successful."

Receiving her AMA in Cinematic Arts, Ms. Price is now studying at Wayne State University in Communications and Broadcasting. She is expected to graduate in 2016. She has filed and produced short films and skits, and self-published her first book to be released in August 2016, entitled 'Hidden Cries'. The story reveals many of Ms. Price's childhood disappointments and abuse that she continues to hide from family. She is also the Executive Director of Miss Fabulous, a non-profit organization Ms. Price started for Detroit teens and young women that has been victims of abuse and/or neglect of any kind. Her goal is to show them, that no matter what they have encountered, they are still Miss Fabulous.
