May 04, 2007 - Ruth and Ernest Tyler, both 75, were informed of the advantages of equity release by an article which appeared recently in a national newspaper.
"It explained how to raise money from your home in retirement without having to move," Ms Tyler confirmed in the Daily Mirror.
The Tylers followed the article's advice, and as a result have been able to refurbish their home - and there is still money left over.
"We've bought a new car, carpets, a three-piece suite and renewed the porch and fences," Ms Tyler told the same publication.
"We now have savings we can draw on and we can afford more holidays."
National Homebuyers offers the sell and rent back option to release equity in your home.
The firm offers homeowners the chance to sell and rent their property back, which provides people with much-needed financial capital while allowing them to stay living in the family home.
Director Julian King says: "People need access to the capital tied-up for many reasons, funding retirement, avoiding repossession, home improvement... We are happy to talk through any situation to find a clear and simple solution to snuggly fit our customers' requirements."
