The certified distributor accreditation allows Corporate Telecommunications to stock and sell the entire range of Polycom video conferencing products and services, giving end-users the benefit of access to a broader range of equipment and enhanced after-sales support.
In addition, Polycom’s software upgrade programme means customers can benefit from their product’s latest enhancements through its free online upgrade service. At the same time, dealers can offer their clients access to more in depth video conferencing assessment, planning, design, implementation and management support, through Polycom’s Global Services client support programme.
To qualify for the accreditation, Corporate Telecommunications’ Gavin Lomax and Chris King completed two tests, one in video solutions sales training and another in video solutions pre-sales technical training, after studying through Polycom’s online university.
Gavin Lomax said, “in-order to hold, stock or sell Polycom video conferencing equipment you must be accredited. This ensures quality of service for the customer, gives the manufacturer confidence that its products will not be mis-sold, and makes sure accredited partners can support the customer to a high standard. The accreditation also gives the partner the confidence to quote the right system for the right room surroundings, enabling them to provide the customer with a technical understanding of each product."
