August 20, 2006 - Corporacion Internacional IDC de Desarrollo Arequipa, SAC. today announes that it has completed the acquisition process of 50 hectars of rain forrest in the Amazonas region, near to Puerto Maldonado in the Department of Madre Dios in Southern Peru.
The property is located on the river Ro Madre Dios which is one of the main feeder to the Amazonas river. The company will administrate the property as wildlife and eco-tourism resort, not changing anything to the jungle scenario of this tropical forrest land. The Amazonas districts of Bolivia and Peru offer very large farming and wildlife properties for acquisition at very low prices.
The company seeks to further acquire other properties, also taking into considerations the grren points system under the Kyoto protocol, under which large industrial companies must purchase green points or so called carbon credits from companies which are administrating wildlife sanctuaries and natural forrest properties.
