Coral Beach Resort Sharjah Supports Graduation Ceremony of Breast Feeding Friends
Supporting the global campaign for breastfeeding awareness, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah participated in the 16th Annual Ceremony and Graduation of Breast Feeding Friends (BFF) society's 10th batch of Breastfeeding Peer Counselors.

Aisha Bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of Advisory Committee on the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Sharjah, the event was organised by Supreme Council for Family Affairs at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce on 10th October 2016. The hotel set up a special booth at the event and gave away a number of gift vouchers.
Talking about the participation, Haytham Aziz, Hotel Manager, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, said, "In keeping with our corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy we are delighted to support and take up any such causes that benefit the local community. BFF is a great initiative for raising health awareness on benefits of breast feeding by providing information and training to mothers".
There is a lot being done globally to raise awareness and offer help in terms of breastfeeding for new mothers. Started in 2011, the BFF campaign is first of its kind in the UAE. The BFF society communicates, networks and coordinates continuously with hospitals and healthcare centres to achieve its desired objectives.
According to World Health Organisation (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), an increase in breastfeeding rates could prevent 800,000 of infant deaths annually worldwide.
