April 04, 2007 - With the launch of the online clinical application for Speedy Healthcare‚ pepper square has successfully ventured into the interactive healthcare domain in the US. This application will connect the chain of clinics operated by Speedy Healthcare across the country and act as a bridge for critical clinical information to be securely shared across the healthcare network.
pepper square was chosen to execute this project for its expertise in user experience design combined with .NET technologies‚ that drove the online requirement for the client. Speedy Healthcare had approached pepper square with the basic concept of networking all their clinics with a robust‚ flexible and secure application.
The application had to be HIPAA compliant with the ability to capture and securely store healthcare records‚ prescriptions‚ billing details among others. These details would help the healthcare providers at each center to directly access patients’ history at any of the clinics within the network. The challenges of the project further involved creation of different templates for various diagnosis and creating parameters for these in a scalable manner. Maintaining confidentiality of records would involve creating a secure network that could be accessed with a defined set of rights.
pepper square technology team created and integrated the online clinic application for Speedy Healthcare. Various templates were created that would be aligned to the diagnosis of each patient visiting any of the Speedy Healthcare clinics across the country. This application takes care of encrypting the credentials and validating the same with the server while allowing healthcare providers to access the web application. Access to this application and central information repository was restricted to the Speedy Healthcare facility itself and online access was not possible from any system outside this clinical environment.
The entire project was executed by pepper square using ASP .NET and MS SQL Server 2000. The application has proven to be a strong and secure business enabler for Speedy Healthcare in delivering quality healthcare across their network of clinics in the US. From a conceptual stage to building and implementing the application for the client‚ pepper square was involved at every stage of the planning and development that resulted in helping the client optimize their online resources.
