Being directly challenged by their quote on quote competitors Coastal, Emerald, LLI and Predator. EDC has been doing a great job of out shining all of them. The competitors "new angles of attack" that are directed towards David Dubbs, in this case, are not that negative. There has been a lot of people or other companies blatantly using his name to either bash his online reputation, or to use as a promotional tool. "I hear other companies using my name in their advertisements and I think that’s funny, because I don't even use my name in my own ads" says Dubbs. In any case EDC is more profitable with Dubbs on their team, and the competitors know it.
