Competition For International Children’s Day: “Who Is The Translator?”

Dear colleagues, all of us were children and now many of you have your own kids.

(1888PressRelease) June 15, 2007 - Dear colleagues, all of us were children and now many of you have your own kids.

Children often start dreaming about their future profession and their vocation very early. We suppose that the main factor of their choice is the profession of their parents, your profession. So it is very exiting how they imagine this profession because it is supposed that the truth is said by children.

Ask your child how he imagines your profession, what are the differences of it? Maybe someone would like to draw the translator.

And then share with us his opinion. And it doesn’t matter if it would be serious or amusing, funny. If you want you can tell us his age or you can give his photo.

We hope this competition would avert your minds from your work, would help you to learn something new about the inner world of your child and about his thoughts about your profession.

The best comment or the best picture would be awarded: the winner would receive a book from “Exprimo” which is translated by the best Russian translators.

CONTACTS:

Send your pictures on - exprimo.msk ( @ ) gmail dot com or post them on “LiveJournal” of “Exprimo” - http://exprimo dot livejournal dot com/23416 dot html dot

REFERENCE:

Like many other translation and interpreting agencies in Moscow, Exprimo’s main lines of business are the provision of translation and interpreting (simultaneous and consecutive) services, as well as special equipment for organizing events with simultaneous interpreting. The Exprimo team includes more than 1000 interpreters and translators and 150 editors and managers, each having work experience of 5 years or more.

In 2006, Exprimo officially provided interpreting services for the Russian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

Exprimo is a socially oriented company. We don’t talk about it out loud, but it is known to a narrow circle of people that we directly help children from orphanages, organize and support charitable campaigns, and call upon others to do the same.

Exprimo is among the initiators of efforts to bring order to the Russian interpreting and translation services market. In particular, we have prepared projects for the creation of effective professional associations to address common concerns and form transparent and civilized relations between agencies and interpreters/translators in which the interpreter/translator acts as an individual business owner.
