Pocono Summit, PA – July 6th, 2006 – On Thursday, July 6th, at 9 PM Eastern (6 PM Pacific), Commuter-Assist.com will have a special guest Larry Greenfield, from TrafficFlex.
TrafficFlex “The Traffic Jam Solution for Commuters on Cell Phones”.
TrafficFlex provides commuters with a better way to avoid or escape traffic back-ups by bringing together drivers on a free conference service where they can share information about their common traffic routes.
In a simple, why-didn’t-I-think-of-that? strategy, drivers pass information on to those behind them and get information from those who are on the road ahead of them.
This first “traffic community” was created in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., for drivers using the Dulles Toll Road and a nearby alternate, Route 7.
The service has been a huge success, with dozens of drivers calling in during morning and evening rush hours. Callers keep coming back because it really works, going beyond what radio traffic reports can do and giving commuters a new level of control over their “traffic destiny.”
TrafficFlex will be expanding soon, with new communities being created for other main traffic routes around Washington, and plans to expand into other cities in 2007.
