July 18, 2007 - Gary’s new position with the IOD involves being their ambassador for young entrepreneurs to encourage and support young enterprise, and organising events. He is the youngest ever committee member of the Wessex Branch.
Adido Solutions is now trading in its fifth year and has grown from strength to strength with a team of 11, larger offices and continued expansion plans via innovation and entry into new markets.
Although running a successful business has its rewards and achievements, it also brings its many pitfalls, risks and for many it can be a very lonely time, especially for young entrepreneurs who are running their first business.
This is where organisations such as Bournemouth University (BU) and the Institute of Directors (IOD), with their vast networks and resources, can help. Gary and the other three directors have managed to build Adido Solutions by getting involved and building strong relationships. The IOD offers training & development programs, access to their information and advisory service, use of their premises, events, and many more invaluable resources aimed at supporting the growth of a business.
Gary Seneviratne says, “I am honoured to have been offered the position as the ambassador for young entrepreneurs for the Wessex branch of the IOD. It is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with very successful business leaders and to engage with fellow young entrepreneurs as well as contributing what I can to the Wessex IOD”
Currently the Wessex IOD and Bournemouth University are working closely in organising a “Young Entrepreneurs Evening”. This will provide an ideal opportunity to network with like minded individuals and peers in a great location and listen to entrepreneurs from the local area, and a speaker of note. The event is deliberately aimed at younger membership and non members interested in the IOD entrepreneurship, improving themselves and their business.
